Privacy Policy

How MjChits handles customer, agent, chit, payment, and support data.

This policy explains what information is processed through the MjChits website, customer app, agent app, admin portal, branch operations, payment workflows, auctions, chats, and support services.

Last updated: 06 May 2026. This policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions and Legal Notices. Some records must be retained for chit fund administration, accounting, audit, dispute handling, and statutory requirements.

1. Information we collect

We collect information that is required to create and manage customer, agent, and admin records. This may include name, email address, phone number, password credentials, role, account status, Firebase identity details, session/device information, FCM notification tokens, customer profile details, agent employment details, assigned area, and operational access records.

2. KYC, bank, and profile information

For onboarding and verification, the service may process Aadhaar number, PAN number, address, bank name, bank account number, IFSC code, account holder name, nominee details, family details, employment details, annual income, passport photo, Aadhaar images, PAN images, address proof, agent profile images, and other uploaded verification documents. Some sensitive numbers are encrypted in the backend database and may be masked for non-admin users.

3. Chit group, auction, and financial records

We process chit group membership, join dates, installment schedules, payment status, receipt numbers, payment method, transaction identifiers, due dates, late fees, expected amount, balance amount, agent collection records, commissions, dividends, auction schedules, bids, winning bid details, payout details, and passbook or receipt records.

4. Payments and third-party services

Online payments use Razorpay. Payment order identifiers, payment IDs, signatures, amount, chit group reference, installment month, and transaction status are processed to create receipts and verify successful payments. We do not control Razorpay, Firebase, Google Sign-In, platform push-notification services, hosting providers, or network providers used to deliver the service.

5. Chat, notifications, and support

The app includes direct chat, group chat, admin monitoring, message attachments, receipt sharing, support tickets, ticket attachments, admin responses, and notification history. Chat and support content may be reviewed by authorized staff for service delivery, complaint resolution, payment follow-up, and operational monitoring.

6. Device, app, and offline sync data

The mobile app may store login tokens and user data on the device, register push-notification tokens, and temporarily store agent collection entries in a local SQLite database when connectivity is unavailable. Pending offline records are synced to the backend when network access returns.

7. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, complete profile and KYC workflows, assign customers to agents, manage chit groups, collect installments, verify payments, generate receipts and passbooks, run auctions, calculate dividends and commissions, send due reminders, respond to support tickets, prevent misuse, maintain audit records, and improve service reliability.

8. Sharing and access

Access is role based. Customers can access their own records and eligible group data. Agents can access assigned customer, collection, group, auction, notification, and ticket information. Admin users can manage operational records. Information may also be shared with payment providers, Firebase/cloud messaging services, hosting and storage providers, auditors, legal advisors, regulators, or authorities where required for service delivery or legal obligations.

9. Security and retention

We use authentication, role-based authorization, encrypted storage for selected identity numbers, token-based API access, server-side validation, database records, and operational controls. No digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Records are retained for as long as needed for service, financial, legal, audit, dispute, and compliance purposes.

10. Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction, or clarification for your account, KYC, payment, ticket, or profile information. Certain financial, chit, KYC, audit, or legal records may not be deleted immediately if retention is required. Keep your password, OTPs, phone number, email account, and device access secure.
